A crash on Route 460 in Sussex County sent two VDOT workers to the hospital, where one later died.
Two VDOT employees were seriously injured after a commercial vehicle struck a VDOT crash truck on Route 460 near the George Town Road intersection, and Virginia State Police are investigating.
Virginia State Police will launch a 24-hour highway safety initiative, “Operation Drive Safe 460,” on Friday. The effort targets Route 460 in Bedford, Botetourt, Roanoke and Montgomery counties.
