My first time using a key seat cutter in the CNC. The anodizer asked if I could add some grooves to the inside of my parts to help better hold them on the rack and reduce the risk of them coming off when they’re loaded and unloaded in the tanks. We picked up this cutter from Harvey Tool Company and it’s working great! Using a no. 1622 arbor type woodruff cutter to machine the 1/2” woodruff keyseat. The cutter is old school made by a arbor Coleman and it’s mounted onto a new TMX stub arbor. Running about 60 rpm, hand feeding and using mist coolant. Material is 4140.
